GW Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) promotes and facilitates the transfer of GW innovations for the benefit of the university community and the public while leveraging GW resources through partnering with industry experts and entrepreneurs.
We are the bridge between in-house laboratory research and companies, entrepreneurs, and investors. Our primary aim is to connect university researchers with business enterprises, entrepreneurs, and unique external resources. OTT oversees all aspects of technology commercialization at GW.

Important Forms
If you are a George Washington University faculty/staff member or a student, please use the official university Intellectual Property Disclosure Form to report the creation of intellectual property including inventions, software, trademarks, copyrightable materials, and tangible research materials. Upon receipt of this form and the required supporting materials, your Intellectual Property Disclosure will be officially docketed and assigned to a case manager in the Office of Technology Transfer with the most relevant scientific and commercial background. Disclosure forms may be submitted via email and/or via mail to our office.
