Extensive Experiential Learning
At GW students have extensive access to experiential learning options, including internships and research opportunities.
- Some 92 percent of GW students who graduate have at least one internship or career-related opportunity. It is not uncommon for students to have more than one internship during their undergraduate experience.
- The Office of Undergraduate Fellowships and Research helps students get involved in research projects and presents opportunities for funding.
- Many students acquire their first job as a result of their internship.
- Research projects allow students to develop in-depth knowledge of their discipline in preparation for both graduate work and careers in their field.
- Internships allow students to learn more about their career options, gain contacts for future jobs and develop career-related skills
