International Student Admission
GW is an institution with a strong international focus and a community of multilingual global thinkers. On campus, many languages are spoken and ideas are shared with friends and teachers from around the world. Students participate in more than 70 cultural and international student groups. In addition to the many activities and events on campus, GW students live in the center of an international capital and world destination. Because of our academic strength and geographic location, GW provides a dynamic link between Washington, D.C., and the world.
GW enrolls more than 2,000 international students representing more than 125 countries. It is, therefore, no surprise that GW consistently ranks among the top research universities in the United States in terms of international diversity within the student body. We welcome students who we believe add to the international character of our institution.
