GW Pre-College courses provide an enriching and unique opportunity for academically motivated high school students to experience college life while challenging themselves to rigorous coursework at a top research university. Our location in Washington D.C. offers unparalleled opportunities for students to deepen academic engagement by connecting theory with real word applications. Our programs attract students from across the country and around the world. Courses are taught by GW’s renowned faculty and expert scholar practitioners. Residential and commuter options are available.
College Intensive
The College Intensive program is comprised of credit-bearing undergraduate courses open to rising juniors and seniors (graduation 2013 and 2014). Students may enroll in 6-week, 3-week, or 1-week courses. For course options, click here.
Summer Immersion
Summer Immersion offers two sessions of experiential non-credit courses to rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors (graduation 2013, 2014, 2015). Students may enroll in one course per session. For course options, click here.
Summer Arts
The Summer Arts program invites talented students to develop their abilities and deepen their knowledge of the arts. Summer Studio: Art and Politics is a credit-bearing 3-week program for rising juniors and seniors (graduation 2013 and 2014).
