A
MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF ALUMNI PROGRAMS
|
Greetings
fellow alumni,
Summer is almost here, and I would like to take this opportunity to let
you know what is going on in alumni programs in the next few months. The
GW Alumni Association (GWAA) and the Office of Alumni Programs are busy
coordinating summer activities and making plans for next year, and I encourage
you to read the Colonial Cable each month for updates.
The GW Alumni Online Community is continually evolving, with opportunities
to become a career advisor to current students, an enhanced online directory,
interactive class notes, regional chapter pages, and an integrated events
calendar. If you are not already a member, sign up now at www.alumni.gwu.edu.
The Alumni Course Audit Program began summer registration on May 16 –
registration is still open for both summer sessions, and I urge you to
sign up for a class today. The Course Audit Program is an excellent way
to remain connected to your University and engage in life-long learning.
Visit our website
for more information.
It’s never too early to mark your calendars for Colonials Weekend
2005, which will be held October 21-23. Highlights include the annual
kick-off party at Alumni House, reunion activities for the undergraduate
classes of 1980, 1995, and 2000, Colonials Village, lectures, and open
houses with the deans. We hope to see you there.
Finally, I would like to commend all of our alumni volunteers, with special
thanks to GWAA President Kristen Betts, for another excellent year. Your
invaluable service has made GW’s alumni community stronger, and
we could not develop our programs without you.
Sincerely,

Scott M. Mory,
BA ’96, JD ’99
