ALUMNI HONOR DAVID MILLER, BA ’87

David Miller was truly a man in full: a person of great energy and joy, enthusiasm and ideas, warmth and love, a man deeply committed to his family, his friends, and his work. Early in 2004, David Miller died, a victim of lymphoma. Friends and fraternity brothers from GW quickly decided to create an enduring memorial to the person they all loved.

They chose to honor Miller’s passion for African affairs by starting the David H. Miller Endowment for African Studies at GW’s Elliott School of International Affairs. On April 28, these friends gathered at the Elliott School with members of Miller’s family to inaugurate the endowment and to remember David Miller. "We wanted to do something that reflected what he did with his life instead of what took his life", said Tim Medina, BA ’88, a fraternity brother and board member of the David H. Miller Foundation. Those interested in learning more about the foundation may contact Tim Medina at tmedina@telepacific.com.
