The GW Medical Center and honorary co-chairs Steve and
Cokie Roberts host the second annual Cancer Institute Gala. The gala raises
funds for high-quality cancer resources and programming in prevention,
patient care, research, policy work, and education.

This black-tie gala features cocktails, dinner, and the awards presentation.
Honorees Michael Milkin, founder of the Prostate Cancer Foundation; Harold
P. Freeman, MD, associate director of the National Cancer Institute; Carolyn
R. Aldigé, president, Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation;
and Elmer H. Huerta, MD, MPH, founder and director of the Cancer Preventorium
at the Washington Hospital Center will receive awards. Proceeds will the
benefit the GW Cancer Institute.
