SEAS TO HOST LECTURE AND DEAN’S RECEPTION DURING COLONIALS WEEKEND |

The School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) will host two events during this year’s Colonials Weekend, to be held October 15th - 17th. All SEAS alumni, students, parents, and friends are invited to attend both events. SEAS Computer Science Professor James Hahn, Ph.D., will speak on "Engineering a Better Health Care: The Role of Biomedical Engineering in Modern Medicine.” Following the lecture, SEAS Dean Timothy Tong will host a reception in the lobby of Tompkins Hall. Reception Dr. Hahn’s presentation will highlight the innovative research and educational activities that are taking place at GW through collaborative initiatives between SEAS and the School of Medicine and Health Sciences. A member of the SEAS faculty since 1989, Dr. Hahn is a founding co-director of GW’s Laboratory for Advanced Computer Applications in Medicine and founding director of its Institute for Computer Graphics and its Institute for Biomedical Engineering. The reception is a great opportunity for SEAS alumni, parents, and friends to meet the dean, get a brief update on SEAS, and tour the newly renovated building. We hope you will attend!
