COLONIALS WEEKEND 2004 |
|||||||||||||||||||||||
Colonials Weekend 2004 is right around the corner, October 15th-17th, and the Office of Alumni Programs, in conjunction with the George Washington Alumni Association and the Office of Parent Services, is busy planning a fabulous program! This year marks the third year that Colonials Weekend has combined both Parents Weekend and Alumni Weekend, and it is bound to be the best year yet. One exciting new event this year is Colonials Village, located on Kogan Plaza. The Village will be the center of all activities on Saturday afternoon and will feature live student entertainment, an array of international foods, an old-fashioned political debate between the GW College Democrats and the GW College Republicans, affiliated hospitality, and fun for everyone. Come meet up with fellow alumni, parents, and students at the Village. Reunite with your classmates and club members as you visit the many University and student organization hospitality tents. Read old copies of the Hatchet. Check out the yearbook from your class at the Gelman Library archival display. There will be plenty to do at Colonials Village. Friday night features the Kick-off party at Alumni House, which will take place from 7:30 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. You won’t want to miss the All-Alumni Bash on Saturday night; this event will be held in the Marvin Center Grand Ballroom from 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. and is open to alumni and their family and friends. Following the Kick-off party and the Alumni Bash, there will be celebrity entertainment each night of Colonials Weekend. On Friday night, join Patti LaBelle for what is sure to be a spectacular concert in the Smith Center. Saturday night features the comic Dana Carvey. For more information on both of these events, visit or call 202-994-7411. Colonials
Weekend is a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends, visit GW,
and have a great time. For more information, and details on how to register,
