Mark your calendars for this year's premiere social event. The Virginia Gold Cup 2004 will take place, rain or shine, on Saturday, May 1st, at the Meadows Outdoor Foundation in the Plains, Virginia. This is GW's third year as a tent anchor is the University Row which hosts approximately 1,800 local area alumni from more than 40 colleges and universities.

University Row guests enjoy an all-you-can-eat catered buffet, as well as all-you-can drink liquor, beer and wine. This year University Row will feature Finlandia Vodka, Five Rivers Ranch Chardonnay and Merlot, Fetzer White Zinfandel, and Michelob Ultra, Bud and Bud Light.

Transportation to and from Virginia's Gold Cup is also provided. Buses depart from Ballston Common on Saturday, May 1st, at approximately 9:30 a.m., and return back at approximately 4:40 p.m.. This all day, all-inclusive event, is specially priced for GW alumni. Tickets will go on sale shortly by visiting http://www.dcalum.org/events/universityrow.cfm and prices are accordingly:

(Note: Parking is $75 per car on site)

The first 30 registrants get a $5 discount on each ticket purchased. Tickets are limited and GW sold out last year in just two weeks. So, don't delay.
