Clubs & groups allow alumni to stay connected to GW through shared experiences, including student organizations, interests, identity, and/or careers. If you would like to suggest a new club or group, please contact Mark Forrest, associate director of clubs & groups, at clubs@gwu.edu.

Multicultural Alumni Groups

GW Black Alumni Association — Founded in 2004, the GW Black Alumni Association "fosters an unparalleled affinity toward GW and strengthened sense of community among all alumni invested in continually enriching the network of black GW graduates."  For more information, contact Titi Williams-Davies, GWSB '07 & '09, at gwbaa@gwu.edu.

GW Latino Alumni Association — The GW Latino Alumni Association is an organization aimed at bringing Latino alumni, students, and friends of the university together for programming and networking that advance the university and to strengthen the existing Latino community. The Latino Alumni Association was formally launched at Alumni Weekend 2008, with an additional reception in 2009. GW Pan-Asian Alumni Association — The Office of Alumni Relations seeks alumni interested in creating an association catered to the Asian community.  With the help of volunteers Trupti Patel, GSPM MA '05, Dan Kotrapu, GWSB MBA '05, and Katrina Chambers, ESIA BA '06, we have hosted  three networking receptions. If you are interested in being a part of an organizing committee, please contact Mark Forrest at clubs@gwu.edu.

Student Organization Alumni Groups

Greek Alumni — As a result of the 2008 Greek Reunion, which celebrated the 150th Anniversary of Greek Life at GW, the Office of Alumni Relations seeks alumni to continue involvement opportunities for GW Greek Alumni. Cherry Tree Alumni The university yearbook, The Cherry Tree, celebrated its centennial in 2008, during Alumni Weekend 2008.  For more information, contact Mark Forrest at clubs@gwu.edu.

WRGW Alumni In February 2009 alumni who were part of WRGW returned to campus for the 80th anniversary of the University radio station. To join the WRGW Alumni Association, please fill out this form. Feel free to visit our group page for more information.

Harmon Choral AssociatesIf you performed in any choral group during your years at GW, whether or not you received a degree from the University, then you are automatically a member of the Harmon Choral Associates. The group supports GW choral programs through student-alumni events, a reunion concert weekend, and an alumni network. For more information, contact Chris Shaw, president, at schris@gmail.com.

Other Alumni Constituent Groups

Alumni Emeriti Society — More than 5,000 alumni are members of this group comprising undergraduate alumni who graduated from GW 50 or more years ago and alumni who are 72 years of age or more. Society members currently participate in annual events, including VIP seating at Commencement followed by a special invite-only brunch and a Reunion celebration during Alumni Weekend.  If you are interested in learning more about this group, contact Mark Forrest at clubs@gwu.edu or 202-994-3293.

Athletics Alumni Association — As a result of this year's Athletics Reunion, we are seeking alumni to assist in forming an Athletics Alumni Association.  Initially, we would like to have one representative per sport to serve on an advisory council for this association.  If you are a former athlete and would like to get involved with this group, contact Mark Forrest at clubs@gwu.edu.

GW Alumni in Politics — One of our newest alumni groups, GW Alumni in Politics (GWAP), will serve as a forum for all alumni to connect, exchange ideas, and open doors for new opportunities. To get involved with GWAP, contact Mark Forrest at clubs@gwu.edu.

GW Alumni Veterans — Formed in December 2008, the new GW Alumni Veterans brings all alumni veterans together to work with the university on various military related concerns and initiatives.  Additionally, GW Alumni Veterans supports the student veterans in their transition back to civilian life. GW Potomac Society — Established in 2004, the Potomac Society serves the 1,600+ alumni who currently work as faculty and staff at GW. For more information, to get involved, or for leadership opportunities, contact Mark Forrest at potsocy@gwu.edu.

Presidential Administrative Fellowship (PAF) Alumni — The PAF program allows selected GW seniors to obtain a GW masters degree while concurrently working in an ambassadorial and administrative position within the University. Columbian Women — This group includes women who earned academic credit at GW; are members of the faculty, staff, or Board of Trustees; are wives of faculty, staff, or Board of Trustees; or are GW honorary degree recipients. Columbian Women aims to advance women at GW through annual scholarship awards and promote alumni interest in GW through social and networking events.
