About the Site
Thank you for visiting the first phase of The George Washington University’s new Web site. This first phase officially inaugurates the University’s revamped homepage and top-level content areas and is stage one of a multi-year endeavor aimed at building a unified web presence across George Washington's many departments, schools and programs.
Our goals are to better showcase to our external audiences all that the University has to offer and to give GW constituents a consistent and easy-to-navigate online experience. The updated Web site features six main content areas that allow GW constituents to explore the exciting and multi-faceted world of GW: Explore, Apply, Learn, Discover, Connect, and Give. Throughout the site, compelling content in the form of stories, photography, and core business information deliver value to visitors. The University is committed to continuing to evolve its online presence.
George Washington’s unified Web presence team is lead by the University’s External Relations division and is composed of staff members from across the University. The upgraded technical platform uses Vignette, an integrated Web content management system that allows content contributors to create, edit, manage, and publish consistent Web content throughout the University.
Future phases of the Web site are under development and will include rich content featuring George Washington’s schools, departments and programs. Stay tuned for future enhancements!
