Welcome Prospective and New Students!
The Graduate School of Political Management offers two Masters
degree programs, the M.P.S in Political
Management and the M.P.S. in Legislative
Affairs. We also offer an intensive, non-degree program designed
for undergraduates from other universities and students, who prefer
a condensed version of our curriculum of politics, the Semester
In Washington program. Many students take one or more of our
courses as Non-Degree Students or Single Course Enrollments.
PMGT graduate classes are open to GW undergraduate Seniors in good
academic standing with the permission of the instructor.
Non-degree (single course enrollment) students holding an undergraduate
degree from an accredited institution may enroll in PMGT graduate
classes on a space available basis, i.e., after the registration
period for degree seeking students.
Please note: Non-degree students who apply and are accepted into one of our Master of Professional Studies programs can only transfer in a maximum of 9 credit hours completed under non-degree status. (You can transfer in a maximum of 6 credit hours to the PACs Certificate program)
