Intro to Women's Studies Taught as a Distance Education Course

Due to the high demand for the course, Introduction to Women's Studies will be taught for the first time this summer through distance education. The course will be taught July 8 - August 16, by Women's Studies professor Cayo Gamber.

The course is a multidisciplinary examination of historical conditions, cultural norms, and social institutions that define women's status in Western culture. It discusses: experiences of girls and women in various racial-ethnic, class, and age groups and alternative visions for women's (and, by implication, men's) roles and status.
