New addition to GW Women's Studies

The GW Women's Studies Program is pleased to welcome Barbara Burton to our program as a one-year visiting professor. Professor Burton comes to us from a variety of interesting anthropological experience in D.C. Her work in the community as well as her academic credentials make her a very valuable addition to the program.

Professor Burton will be teaching the Anthropology of Gender while Professor Diane Bell is on sabbatical next year. Burton will also be teaching a Feminist Theory course and a very exciting course on Global Feminisms. Click here for more detailed course descriptions.
