Communications

As part of an ongoing effort to ensure that GW residents are aware of the personal property insurance program, the University has developed a comprehensive communication plan designed to reach both student residents and parents. The plan has included numerous publications and messages in both electronic and hard copy form.

Publications:

  • “Protect Your Personal Property” flyer (download)
    • Distributed at Colonial Inauguration (CI)
    • Distributed at Key Depot Locations and HUB sites at check-in
    • Poster boards at Key Depot Locations
    • Posters on GW Housing Programs boards in all residence halls
    • Distributed during Fall Move-In
  • Reminder included on the "Move-In" checklist distributed during CI

    Information Sharing Methods:

    • Included in day two CI “Move-In” information sessions presented by GW Housing Programs and Residential Property Management staff
    • Staffed table at CI “Services Fair”
    • Communication posted on the Parent Services listserve
    • Blast e-mail to the appropriate portion of the University Community
    • Web sites - links and summaries
