The composition of the Academic Integrity Council is made up of both faculty and students. Faculty members are appointed by their respective deans to serve a one-year term on the Council, which is renewable. After a second year faculty members are rotated off the Council. Each school has two faculty representatives, while the Columbian College maintains four representatives due to its size.

Student membership on the Council is determined by a Selection Committee, which reviews applicant files. Student members must be students enrolled in a degree-granting program. In addition, they must be making satisfactory academic progress and be in good academic standing. Finally they may not have any disciplinary record or probation of any sort and may not hold any position, either elected or appointed, in the Student Association. Six representatives are chosen from the Columbian College while the other schools have four representatives each.

Student applicants for membership may be undergraduate or graduate level. Applicants are encouraged to apply at any time of the year.
