The MSF program
offers advanced education for individuals with specific career interests in
the areas of financial management and applied financial research. It builds
upon a bachelor's or master's degree in business administration. Qualified
individuals with degrees in economics or other quantitative disciplines are
also encouraged to apply. The MSF degree emphasizes the theoretical
foundations of finance and quantitative methods in financial management.
Students will be engaged in applied research and modeling, using a variety
of large professional databases and computer software packages. The
international and regulatory dimensions of finance are also explored in
depth.
MSF informational interviews are offered at GW
throughout the year by appointment. The faculty can arrange to hold
informational sessions for interested groups off campus. Open houses are
held throughout the year to introduce prospective students to the goals,
faculty, and curriculum of the program.
