Aurora O. Amoah, MPH

Aurora is the Project Coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic Center for Children's Health and the Environment. In her present role, she manages all aspects of the project from developing work plans to evaluating project activities. She is also a Research Associate with the Center for Risk Science and Public Health at the GWU School of Public Health.
She obtained her Master's degree in Public Health at The Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Her concentration was in Health policy and Management with special interest in health issues affecting children and the adolescent population. Aurora worked at the Louisiana office of Public with the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Risk Reduction Program and then with the Adolescent School Health Initiative (ASHI). Aurora has lived internationally and studied in Ghana, Costa Rica and France.
She received a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Illinois State University with a minor in French while studying at the Center for Language Study (CIDEF) at the Université Catholique de l’Ouest in Angers, France.
