The mission of the Laboratory for Infrastructure Safety and Reliability is to conduct analytical and experimental research directed toward improving the safety and reliability of complex infrastructure and structural systems, and to improve current methods of structural analysis and develop new methods based on knowledge and technology at the frontiers of engineering, while strengthening the ties between teaching and research.
