AFFILIATED PROGRAMS | Stuart Program on Northern Europe

The Norway-America Association organizes the annual Ambassador Robert D. Stuart Fellowship, named for the man who served as U.S. ambassador to Norway from 1980 to 1986. The fellowship is available for Norwegians who are under 35 years old and who are interested in American politics and have been active in a Norwegian political party. The recipients learn first-hand about U.S. politics by participating in an internship (usually on Capitol Hill), attend lectures at the Elliott School of International Affairs and are active participants at a variety of Institute events.

The Stuart Fellowship also helps to fund undergraduate and graduate courses on Northern Europe as well as seminars and conferences on Northern Europe.
