Graduate Certificate in Multimedia Development

 

The graduate certificate in Multimedia Development provides students from varied professional backgrounds (e.g., educational, corporate, government, or e-learning settings) with comprehensive and foundational knowledge and skills required to design, develop, and evaluate multimedia materials for instructional purposes. The Certificate, taught completely online, prepares students to apply theories, principles, technologies, and techniques for the development of multimedia materials to be used in their professional settings.  Students will have opportunities to integrate their professional experiences into their learning, apply their course assignments to their current professional activities, and actively engage with other professionals in the development of multimedia materials.

Students who complete the Multimedia Development Certificate will:

·   Apply foundational instructional design principles to the design, development, and implementation of multimedia materials designed for instructional purposes

·   Demonstrate an ability to plan, design, and evaluate multimedia materials designed for instructional purposes

·   Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of numerous theories, principles, technologies, and techniques that can be applied to the development of multimedia materials for instructional purposes

·   Create a portfolio that demonstrates their knowledge, skills, and competency in multimedia development
