New - Save the Date: ESRI 2009 - February 27 - 28
ESRI 09 dates have been set. The conference will feature a day of preconference workshops and activities on Friday, February 27, with the traditional full day of ESRI conference presentations, awards, and Socratic seminars on Saturday, February 28. All ESRI conference sessions will take place on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Marvin Center on the GWU Main Campus. Additional information on ESRI 09 will be available in September.

Lisa Steinberg, Kari Wold, Honored With ESRI Best Paper Awards
Higher Education Administration doctoral student Lisa Steinberg was honored at ESRI with the annual "Ralph O. Mueller Best Paper in Research Design" award. Her paper, titled "Faculty Role in Managing the Acutely Distressed College Student" was presented during the conference at a special afternoon Award Session.

International Education masters student Kari Wold was honored at ESRI with the annual "Jay Shotel Best Paper in Literature Review" award. Her paper, titled "Creating Cohesion: Comparing and Aligning Distance Higher Education in the United States and in China" was presented during the conference at a special afternoon Award Session.

ESRI Conference Overview
ESRI is an academic conference which aims to provide an opportunity for immersion in current research and innovations in education. The conference provides an occasion for participants (professionals, students, alumni, and others) to present their original work in a variety of formats, to receive feedback and support from colleagues and professors, and to strengthen their work for future conferences and publication.
