Background:

Dr. Lambright earned her BA from the University of Texas-Austin and her PhD in Political Science from Michigan State University (August 2003). Her research interests include African politics, political reform, decentralization, and the politics of development. She is currently revising her dissertation on decentralization and local politics in Uganda and working on a project to explain electoral turnout in African countries. She is teaching courses on African politics and developing a course on the politics of development.
