Special Events

As a student in this program, you will be encouraged to participate in activities of the Sigur Center for Asian Studies, which serves as a focal point in the nation’s capital for students, scholars, and policymakers in analyzing the expanding role of Asia in world affairs. The Sigur Center regularly hosts international conferences and seminars, sponsors special research projects, and publishes a variety of studies. These activities will provide you with opportunities to interact with leading professionals in the field.

The Pacific Affairs Study Society (PASS) is a student-run organization devoted to increasing understanding of the Asia-Pacific and addressing the needs of those in the GW community who have an interest in the region. PASS is a forum for members to exchange views, present research, and receive mentoring. PASS promotes its members’ scholarly and career development through resource sharing, events, and periodic publications.
