Study Abroad Opportunities

Students in the Asian Studies M.A. program have a variety of options to study abroad for a semester, summer, or for other short programs as an integral part of their degree.

Asian Studies students can earn up to 10 credits towards their M.A. degree while spending a semester at an Elliott School International Exchange Partners in Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Hong Kong, India and Singapore. All programs offer a full curriculum in English, with opportunities for language study. Because of the academic calendar of these institutions in Tokyo and Shanghai differ from that at GW, Asian Studies students who wish to study in those locations should plan to study abroad during their first spring semester in the M.A. program.
