Henry Hale uses a psychological study of ethnicity to examine separatism in the USSR and CIS in his new book.
Ilana Feldman's new book about how government works in Gaza draws upon research in Gaza, Cairo, Jerusalem, and London and two years of interviews with retired civil servants in Gaza.
Prof. Susan Sell argues that industrialized countries' efforts to raise intellectual property standards limit developing countries' access to knowledge, and her article provides a comprehensive institutional roadmap of these ongoing efforts.
Prof. David Shambaugh contributed to Soft Power in Asia, a six-nation public opinion survey examining the current and potential use of nonmilitary means of influence in East Asia.
Amb. David Shinn and Joshua Eisenman (BA'00) coauthored a report, "Recommendations for American policymakers: Responding to China's growing influence in Africa," which will be expanded into a book that University of Pennsylvania Press will publish later this year.
