Brazil's Foreign Policy: Present and Future The Center for Latin American Issues in conjuction with the Brazil Institute at The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars hosted a discussion of the book Brazil's Foreign Policy: Present and Future. A política externa do Brasil: Presente e Futuro is an excellent collection of insightful essays by six former high-ranking Brazilian diplomats and an experienced journalist. These essays, carefully written without any restriction on their content, reflect the personal views and experiences of the seven authors. The collection gives a good insight into the internal discussions of Itamaraty, into Brazil’s principal diplomatic objectives during the past several decades, and into the writers’perception of Brazil’s success in achieving those objectives.
