Who We
Are
The Center for Latin American Issues (CLAI) is
a premier academic institution dedicated
to the scholarly research and study of issues pertaining to the Latin American
and Caribbean region,
and to the dissemination of knowledge and understanding of those issues.

What We
Do
CLAI operates a great variety of programs.
These include student
and faculty exchanges with institutions in Latin America; training
programs for GW students and Latin American government and business
leaders; research support; and development of seminars and conferences
that bring scholars and regional leaders to GW to discuss current Latin
American events and issues.
CLAI Advisory
Board
The CLAI Advisory Board
provides programming advice to the Center. It is composed of
distinguished individuals who have extensive knowledge and experience in
the region, and includes diplomatic representatives, international public
servants, business executives, representatives of non-governmental
organizations, and GW faculty.
