Welcome - Graduate AdmissionsThe Columbian College of Arts and Sciences offers more than 50 graduate programs leading to doctoral and masters degrees and graduate certificates. Every one of this wide variety of programs is designed to provide the broad base of knowledge, experience, and skills needed to excel in today's complex and constantly changing world. Each program offers a well-balanced blend of both practical and theoretical material. Curricula frequently cross traditional academic boundaries to combine the strengths of various disciplines into cohesive and challenging programs that prepare you to address current social, economic, and political issues. In addition to our excellent full-time faculty, outstanding adjunct faculty draws upon their multifaceted experiences in the private and public sectors to enhance the real-life aspect of research and teaching. Our programs benefit immensely from this and the many other resources particular to the Washington metropolitan area and are strengthened by long-standing relationships with internationally renowned institutions, museums, and agencies. Few universities in the world offer greater access to such an extensive array of educational, cultural, and career opportunities. There is a great demand for GW's well-trained graduate students in internships and other practical training programs throughout the Washington metropolitan area.
