An anonymous alumni donor has issued GW a $100,000 all or nothing challenge: If 9,000 alumni contribute by Dec. 31, he will make a gift of $100,000 to the Power & Promise Fund for student aid.

Lisa Aneiva, GWSB MBA '94, president and owner of Your World Pottery, has been inducted into Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in business management. Your World Pottery is a paint-your-own pottery studio that specializes in custom designs. Its mission is to inspire and encourage creativity in people of all ages. Ms. Aneiva creates custom designs on pottery, and is also responsible for managing business operations, marketing and the finances of the corporation.
A. Bates Butler III, LAW JD '69, has been named "Tucson Best Lawyers Bet-the Company Litigator of the Year" for 2011 by Best Lawyers. A former U.S. Attorney for Arizona, Mr. Butler has more than 40 years of litigation experience. His practice focuses on white-collar criminal defense and civil litigation.
J. Jacques Carter, CCAS BA '74, received the 2010 Harvard Medical School/Harvard School of Dental Medicine Dean's Community Service Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Carter was selected for his work with the Community Prostate Cancer Screening and Education Program.
Jerry Cohen, LAW JD '62, was selected by an independent blue ribbon committee of his peers as a New England Super Lawyer. New England Super Lawyers are featured in the November issue of Boston Magazine, Rhode Island Monthly and in the 2010 issue of the magazine, New England Super Lawyers, a publication of Law and Politics.
Sheila K. Davidson, LAW JD '86, executive vice president in charge of law and corporate administration for New York Life, was named a trustee of Fairfield University earlier this month. Ms. Davidson graduated cum laude from Fairfield University in 1983 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science. She is a member of New York Life's executive management committee.
Grace Fan, LAW JD '05, and Thomas Russell Delatour Jr. were recently married. She is an associate specializing in energy transactions in the Shanghai and Beijing offices of Vinson & Elkins, the Houston law firm. He is the chief executive of Century Bridge Capital, a real estate investment firm in Beijing.
