Alumni Weekend 2009 brought thousands of alumni back to campus for more than 70 events held over four days. The weekend featured something for everyone, from class reunion celebrations to faculty lectures to tours of Thurston Hall and the renovated Smith Center.

CLASS NOTES
Kate Armstrong, CCAS BA '06, MA '08, was recently married to Douglas Robb. Read the New York Times article.
John Crews, CCAS MS '00, was featured in the Columbian College newsletter regarding his role as chief of forensic genetics and laboratory director for the non-profit Forensic Anthropology Foundation of Guatemala. He is helping to identify bodies of more than 200,000 victims of civil conflict.
Dr. David R. Curfman, GSAS MS '67 SMHS MD '73, was inducted into the Galion City School District Hall of Fame. Curfman taught at GW Med School as well as running his own private practice. He has focused on neurology and was the chief of the division of neurological surgery at Providence Hospital.
Retired Navy Rear Admiral David R. Ellison, GWSB MS '75, became the new president of the National Defense Intelligence College in a "Change in Command" Ceremony on Sept. 30. Ellison formerly served as superintendent of the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterrey, Calif.
Robert Gervis, LAW JD '85, has been named as one of six new board members for the Georgia Gulf Corporation. Along with this, he is also founder and president of Epilogue, LLC, a private advisory firm.
