CLASS NOTES
Miranda Anderson, GWSB MBA '04, wed Roger Ballentine, President of Green Strategies, on May 19 at the Gunpowder River State Park in Maryland. The couple resides in Washington where Anderson is currently the director of sustainability for Walmart Stores, Inc.
Serena M. Aunon, SEAS BS '97, was one of nine Americans named a member of NASA's astronaut class of 2009. NASA selected the nine from a field of 3,500 applicants. There are currently about 85 active astronauts in NASA's spaceflying ranks. The nine members of the 2009 class will join the astronaut corps after their two-year training regime.
Christopher Barley, SMHS MD '93, is the president of Citta, a not-for-profit organization that supports hospitals and education centers in the poorest areas of India and Nepal delivering health care to 25,000 patients a year, schooling for children, and economic development programs for women at risk.
Lisa R. (Karasiewicz) Baudot, GWSB MBA '02, will begin a PhD in Accounting at the Ecole Superieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC Business School) in Paris, France, in September 2009. She married Regis H. Baudot on August 30, 2008 on the Ile-de-Noirmoutier, France.
