When Liz McCartney, GSEHD MA '06, traveled to New Orleans with her mother and boyfriend to volunteer six months after Hurricane Katrina, she thought she would be there a few weeks. What she saw there, however, started her on a completely new life course.
It's no surprise that Ken Chaletzky, GWSB BBA '71, co-founder of the chain of copy shops Copy General, went into business with two of his former classmates and co-workers at the GW Hatchet. GW's student newspaper was a pretty tight-knit group in the 1970s.

Karsten Bohm, GWSB MBA '94, an energy and water expert at the City of Munich, gave two lectures about the challenges for the global water supply at an environment conference in Chongqing, China.
Grady Allyn Crooks, GSPM MA '00, and Alicia Kaye Price were married on March 28 in Pineville, La. Crooks is serving in the United States Air Force as a Judge Advocate General.
Thomas L. di Galoma, GWSB MBA '85, was named managing director and head of the U.S. Fixed Income Rates Trading Group at Guggenheim Capital Markets, LLC.
Atul Grover, SMHS MD '95, was selected as the Association of American Medical Colleges chief advocacy officer, the association announced on March 4. Prior to this appointment, Grover served as an AAMC director for government relations and health care affairs.
