Frank Burtnett, GSEHD MA '65, EdD '79, has written a has written a student-friendly guide to college exploration, decision-making, and the application process. The Bound-For-College Guidebook, been published by Rowman & Littlefield Education. The book answers 100 Frequently Asked Questions about admission and financial aid and presents a series of exercises that structure the how each student can navigate the high school-to-college transition.
Dr. Stephen H. Frye, SMHS MD '68, has been advocating for The Netherlands to receive a Nobel Prize for what he calls a "smart" approach to drug policy. His recently published book, We Really Lost This War! Twenty-five Reasons to Legalize Drugs, details his arguments with 25 reasons for a change in policy. You can learn more about his work here.
Rebecca Hamburg, LAW JD '04, was named to the National Employment Lawyers Association Executive Board at the board’s June 2008 meeting. Hamburg focuses on representing individual plaintiffs in employment rights litigation, including racial and sexual harassment and discrimination cases, under both state and federal law as well as wage & hour violations. She joined Schonbrun DeSimone Seplow Harris & Hoffman LLP in April 2008.
Petra Horna, GWSB BBA '08, has joined EwingCole, an award-winning architecture and engineering firm, in its D.C. office as the director of Business Development.
