Alumna Finishes in Top 10 of Miss America

CLASS NOTES

Melvin R. Bielawski, GWSB MS '70, is retired from the Department of Defense and his consulting business which provides technical support to the U.S. Army and various contractors in the D.C. area. Bielawski is also a writer, and his most recent publication, "The Corner: A WWII Era Story of a Neighborhood," chronicles a Polish American neighborhood in Toledo, Ohio. He is currently involved in writing two other books, one fiction and one non-fiction.

Dr. Anthony Castro, CCAS PsyD '01, a member of the first class to graduate with a psychology doctorate degree, has written a popular psychology book Creating Space for Happiness: The Secret of Giving Room, which uses narrative to discuss the importance of change in personal growth. Dr. Castro practices clinical psychology for children and adults in St. Louis, Mo.

Marco Cercone, GWSB MPA '99, is joining the Buffalo, N.Y. law firm of Rupp, Baase, Pfalzgraf, Cunningham & Coppola LLC as a litigation attorney focusing on commercial and first-party litigation. The firm represents a wide cross-section of both local and national clients; and is comprised of experienced corporate, real estate, and trial attorneys.
