When Carmen Lattimore was studying English at GW, she wrote a poem called "Book Bag Baby." It was about her newborn daughter, Kue Lattimore, who would often accompany her on study sessions while she read the works of great poets and authors.
Exactly 20 years later, her "book bag baby" graduated from GW with the exact same degree as her mother, and then continued her education at GW Law.

CLASS NOTES
Emily Charette, CCAS BA '98, and Matthew Tracy, CCAS BA '99, were married in a small ceremony on Atlantic Beach, FL on February 16, 2008. Matthew is a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy. Emily is the Director of Development at Florida Coastal School of Law. They live in Jacksonville, FL.
Saikhanbileg Chimed, LAW LLM '02, was elected as member of Parliament of Mongolia for the second time after his previous term in 1996-2000. As a member of Parliament, Saikhanbileg also holds a position of head of the Democratic Party fraction and chairman of the Mongolia-United States of America Parliamentary Group.
Ion Deaton, SEAS MSE '64, has written a book called Tales from Appalachia's Ionic One: Early Hill Years to Senior Moments. It is a fascinating memoir of his life, describing his Great Depression upbringing in rural Kentucky and his years in the Navy.
Bob Greenwald, CCAS BA '50, has written a book called Conflict Without Chaos, which discusses intervention and negotiation of disputes and tensions between groups on a national scale. In writing, he drew from his years of experience serving in the Community Relations Service of the U.S. Department of Justice, whose role he also analyzes in the book.
