FOREIGN POLICY PRIORITIES FOR THE NEXT PRESIDENT
The 2008 Presidential race is poised to be the most interesting races in modern history. Concerns about the economy, the war in Iraq, and heightened tensions on the world stage are guiding this year's presidential race. According to a March 2008 Gallup Poll, current attitudes about the United States' global position are highly partisan and the public’s perception of how the rest of the world views the United States is pessimistic. When the new President assumes office in January 2009, it is imperative that he have an effective foreign policy agenda.

The Elliott School of International Affairs invites you to take part in an engaging discussion with Dean Michael Brown as he addresses his Foreign Policy imperatives for the next U.S. President. Reception to follow.

Saturday, September 27
11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
1957 E Street, NW
Lindner Family Commons, 6th Floor
Washington, DC 20052

Michael E. Brown became Dean of the Elliott School of International Affairs in August 2005. He is also a Professor of Political Science and International Affairs. Previously, he was Director of Georgetown’s Center for Peace and Security Studies and its graduate program in security studies. He has also been a Senior Fellow at Harvard University’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs in the John F. Kennedy School of Government and at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London.

This event is free and open to all alumni, faculty, students and friends of GW. Click here for more information and to register your attendance.
