Pat Schwallie-Giddis, associate professor and director of Graduate Programs for Counseling/Human and Organizational Studies, was just elected President (2009-2010) of the National Career Development Association. She is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the fourth year and will take office August 1, 2009.
The National Career Development Association (NCDA) is a division of the American Counseling Association. The mission of NCDA is to promote the career development of all people over the life span. To achieve this mission, NCDA provides service to the public and professionals involved with or interested in career development, including professional development activities, publications, research, public information, professional standards, advocacy, and recognition for achievement and service. NCDA will hold their annual conference in our nation’s capital, July 9-11, 2008, at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Washington, D.C.
