WOMEN’S BASKETBALL COACH JOE MCKEOWN GETS
500TH VICTORY


The GW Women ran to a 73-65 victory over Duquesne on Sunday, Feb. 4, bringing longtime Coach Joe McKeown his 500th career victory. McKeown became the 34th Division I women's basketball coach all-time to reach the 500 win plateau. He is 432-151 in 19 seasons at GW, and notched 68 wins as the coach of New Mexico State from 1986 to 1989. Read The Washington Post story about Coach McKeown's 500th win here. The GW Women are ranked #13 nationally in the ESPN/USA Today poll and #16 in the Association Press Top 25 poll.

GW returns to Charles E. Smith Center Sunday, Feb. 10, to host Richmond in the program's first-ever Think Pink contest.
