These days, James Winslow, BA ’87, MBA ’91, doesn’t play golf nearly as much as he used to about two decades ago when he was on the GW golf team. But when he hits the course now, he plays with a new purpose.

Winslow is one of the founders of Salute Military Golf Association, a non-profit organization that aids the rehabilitation of wounded war veterans through the game of golf. Winslow started the group in 2004 with his childhood golfing buddy, Jim Estes, a former golf pro who now works at Olney Golf Course in Maryland. Read more.

Class Notes

Lorena E. Ahumada, LAW JD '03Lorena E. Ahumada, LAW JD ’03, has recently joined Philadelphia-based law firm Kleinbard Bell & Brecker LLP. Ahumada concentrates her practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, employment litigation and counseling, and insurance coverage law. Ahumada joins Kleinbard Bell & Brecker after serving as law clerk to the Honorable Petrese B. Tucker of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. 
Elizabeth M. Duke, CCAS PhD '69Elizabeth M. Duke, CCAS PhD ’69, was among three women leaders in the federal government selected to participate in an exchange program with her peers in the East African country of Tanzania. The Ministerial Fellows Exchange Program, directed by the Council of Women World Leaders, promotes and supports women’s leadership in government through cross-cultural exchanges. Duke is the administrator of the Health Resources and Services Administration.
