Margaret Vodopia Carroll, BA ’82, announced the sale of her second romantic comedy, The True Match, by Avalon Books in April 2008. She has just signed a two-book contract with HarperCollins for worldwide English distribution of her next novel, a psychological thriller called A Dark Love. Set partly on GW's Foggy Bottom campus, it is due out in 2009.
Michael Cherenson, certificate in political management ‘95, was elected as chair-elect for the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Cherenson, the executive vice president of public relations at Success Communications Group, will begin his three-year leadership position in January 2008. PRSA is the world’s largest organization for public relations professionals with over 32,000 members, 109 nationwide chapters, and 19 professional interest sections.
Ed Feick, MBA ’86, was named vice president of customer support for Parker Aerospace in Irvine, Calif. Appointed to the position in November 2007, he is responsible for all financial and operational aspects of the division, which provides support for systems and components manufactured by Parker Aerospace for commercial and military aircraft equipment.
Kimberly Hibsch, JD ’04, has joined the firm Luxenberg, Johnson & Dickens, PC, as an associate attorney. Hibsch practices family law and is a volunteer at the Self-Help Center of the District of Columbia Family Court.

(DRI) Annual Meeting to be held October 22-26, 2008, in New Orleans,
La. DRI is the national organization of defense trial lawyers and
corporate counsel which provides numerous educational and informational

Aaron Leventhal, MA ’93, has been named CEO of Hero Arts, a family-owned rubber stamp business that has grown into one of today’s leading stamp craft companies. His mother started the company in 1974 in her Berkeley apartment bathroom.

Bill Ziegler, BBA ’81, assumed the role of Board of Directors chair of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars’ at the group’s fall meeting in Washington, D.C. Zeigler, who is the global managing director of Talent Acquisition at UBS Investment Bank, will serve a two-year term.
