GW: A Lifelong and Worldwide Community day is part of a weeklong event culminating with the Inauguration of Steven Knapp as the 16th President of The George Washington University on Friday, Nov. 16.
The University will highlight the achievements of prominent alumni and the bonds forged between alumni, students, faculty and staff on Thursday, Nov. 15. The day will introduce President Knapp and other members of the GW community to accomplished alumni and showcase the breadth and possibilities of the student-alumni network.
Throughout the day, alumni will have the opportunity to engage in a broad range of inspiring activities, including a breakfast with President Knapp, a series of academic panels featuring high-profile alumni, and lunch for students and alumni modeled after the popular “Dinner with Alumni” series hosted by the GW Alumni Association.
Thursday, November 15 – GW: A Lifelong and Worldwide Community
8:30 a.m. – Alumni Breakfast with President Knapp
10 – 11:30 a.m. – First block of alumni panels
10 a.m. – Noon – Career networking session
Noon – 1:30 p.m. – Lunch featuring keynote speaker Senator

Please note: Most of the day's events will take place in the Marvin Center, Third Floor, 800 21st Street NW, with the exception of the Law School and Medical School panels, which will take place in their respective schools.

The formal inaugural ceremony of President Knapp will take place Friday, Nov. 16, at 10:30 a.m. in GW’s Charles E. Smith Center, 600 22nd Street NW. Tickets are free and alumni are welcome to attend. To obtain tickets to the Inauguration ceremony, please call 202-994-1600.
