Katie Couric, anchor and managing editor of The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, will join veteran journalist and scholar Marvin Kalb to discuss democracy and the press in the first installment of the 2007-2008 Kalb Report series, produced by The George Washington University, Harvard's Joan Shorenstein Center, and the National Press Club and underwritten by a grant from the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation.

The forum will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at 8 p.m. in the main ballroom of the National Press Club, on the 13th floor of the National Press Building (14th and F streets NW, Washington, D.C.).
