If so, you need to be registered on the GW Alumni Online Community.

Features available through the ever-expanding Alumni Online Community include:

• Alumni Directory – Explore the online database to connect with fellow alumni.
• Career Advisor Network – Become an advisor to students and fellow alumni or search the directory to expand your professional network.
• Class Notes – Post your own messages or read notices posted by fellow classmates.
• Alumni Yellow Pages – Search for goods and services offered by other alumni or place an ad for your business.
• Email Forwarding – Create an email address you never need to change, even when you switch jobs or email providers.
• Educational Resources – Access premium electronic resources like Proquest and ABI/Inform.

If you graduated prior to May of 2003 and you wish to register for the GW Alumni Online Community, you’ll first need your personal GWid, which is located at the bottom of your original Colonial Cable e-mail. Simply scroll down to the bottom of your email to locate your GWid. You cannot access your GWid through the Web version of the Cable.

(Please note: if you are an alumnus who has graduated since May 2003, your Alumni Online Community login will be the same as your myGW username and password that you used as a student.)

Once you’ve obtained your GWid, you’ll need to complete these three simple steps:

• Go to the secured Alumni Online Community Registration Form for New Users by clicking here.

• Complete the form by filling in all fields requested, including the field requesting your GWid (you may still enter your Social Security Number if you prefer).

• Create your username and password

It’s that easy!

If the information you provide does not match our records you will be directed to another secured page where you can provide a telephone and email address. An Alumni House representative will contact you and provide the necessary information to complete the registration process.
