As you may recall, GW Freshmen get one of their first tastes of our campus and community during Move-In Weekend. The George Washington University is known for its welcoming atmosphere and these first impressions make a huge impact. To have our new students and parents welcomed to campus and to the GW family by GW alumni would be a wonderful beginning to their experience. Please consider giving a few hours of your time on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, to pitch in, along with hundreds of other returning students and GW staff volunteers. We will help first- and second-year students and their families navigate the busy move-in atmosphere by assisting with traffic control, moving belongings from vehicles to rooms, and providing a warm greeting and friendly face upon check-in.
For more information and to volunteer for this effort, please visit the GW Housing Programs website or the Move-In website. Please sign up by Aug. 1, 2007.
