THE STAGFLATION SITUATION: MYTH OR REALITY?Join the GW Finance and Investments Club for a panelist discussion on stagflation, a term that macroeconomists use to describe periods of high inflation coupled with economic stagnation, unemployment or economic recession.
Panelists will include Former FED Governor Dean Susan M. Phillips, Former Vice President & Treasurer of The World Bank Mr. Eugene H. Rotberg, Vice President & Sr. Economist of Goldman Sachs & Co. Mr. Edward McKelvey, and Dr. William Handorf, a former director at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. They will discuss such issues as: Is the U.S. economy headed for Stagflation Part II or are such claims overblown? What are the implications for financial markets and the investment climate looking forward?
