
DASA Recipients Honored at April 12 Ceremony

Each year, the George Washington Alumni Association (GWAA) has the
distinct privilege of recognizing and celebrating our alumni with
the Distinguished Alumni Service Award (DASA). This award recognizes
notable alumni who are committed to giving back to their communities
locally and globally, as well as to the improvement of the University.
The achievements of our award recipients reinforce the stellar education
they received at GW. The 46th annual Distinguished Alumni Service
Award ceremony was held on Thursday, April 12, in the Elliott School
of International Affairs. This year’s award recipients were Philip
Amsterdam, BA ’62; Nelson Carbonell Jr., BS ’85; Randolph Graves Jr.,
D.S. ’78; Helen S. Manning, MA ’52; Alan S. Nadel, BS ’71, JD ’76;
and Robert J. Pelosky Jr., MA ’83.
