KING TUT AT THE FRANKLIN INSTITUTE – SOLD OUT
The GW Alumni Association is proud to present Tutankhamen and the
Golden Age of the Pharaohs. Please join us as Eric Cline, chair of
the department of classical and Semitic languages and literatures,
and GW associate professor of classics and anthropology, presents
a closer look at King Tut and Egyptian archeology. After the lecture
and lunch, guests will walk over to the Franklin Institute to view
the King Tut exhibit.
The exhibit includes 50 major objects excavated from Tutankhamen’s tomb, including his royal diadem and one of the gold and precious stone inlaid canopic coffinettes that contained his mummified internal organs.
