Both GW women’s and men’s basketball teams advanced to the NCAA Tournament in March. The women beat fourth-seeded Texas A&M with a score of 59-47, advancing to the Sweet 16.

The men won the Atlantic-10 tournament championship and advanced to the NCAA tourney for the third year in a row. In the first round, they were beaten by Vanderbilt, who continued on in the tournament.
